Brian, my youngest daughter started riding with me across country at about age 8 or 9. Her feet would not reach the passenger pegs, so I added 2X4 pieces to make them higher.
Never needed anything to hold her on.
1 time she nodded off on me and we banged helmets. I put a bungee cord around both of us and we rode a little over 500 miles that day. If it hadn't of been we had to be to a wedding the next morning we would have stopped and got a Motel room....
She slept alot back there with no problems. She became a passenger that you could forget real easy she was there....
She rolled with the punches when riding, and ended up telling her husband he needed to go learn how to ride a motor....... She won't go with him anymore until he completes the MSF Advanced course. She says he is too dangerous for them both to be on the same motor. Afraid they will be killed and her daughters would have to go live with G'pa & G'pa, God forbid, they are OLD, or with her Brother and his wife, and 2 brats. At home the brats are mean assed devils, when over here, they are 2 of the best boys I have ever been around. They know they can push mom and dad and not get into trouble, time out or grounded. They staid her for 4 weeks a couple of years ago, took about 10 days to straighten em up. Here, they are angels, home they are, you fill in the word you want.
