A friend came here today, his Valkyrie had leakage on both fork legs. He had his Valkyrie in the workshop (Honda dealer) last week and replaced both oil seals. As you can see in the picture, they probably used a screwdriver to push the oil seal in place. I sent e-mail with pictures to the Honda dealer and asked them to refund the repair shop bill.

My originals looked that way when they were replaced last year. Does anyone have a pic of the Honda fork seal tool? It seems that this damage(?) looks the same when all the seals fail. Just my .02

This is what the seal driver looks like, guess the dealers are too cheap to spend a couple hundred for it.

I made one out of PVC pipe and it works fine, seals go in relatively easy , Couple taps with a block of wood on the pvc tool and mine went right in. Did not poke holes it them either.

I'm taking my forks up to an aftermarket dealer to have the springs and seals replaced tomorrow... I'll be asking them to show me what tool they will be using to install them!!

Sure as hell better be something besides the flat head screwdriver that honda is apparently using.
