Had this bike in my garage for a few months fixing it up for a good friend of mine. He got it in a 2 for 1 bike trade. I sold the 2000 Sportster that came with it for $3,000 & he got $7,000 for this stretched out '79 Shovel. That means he got $10K for the used '07 1200 Sporty that he traded for them. I think he did OK. The Shovel was loaded with lots of horrible Redneck engineering.  Shocked Took me a few months of picking at it to get it back on the road. Oil lines against the pipes, 4 strands of copper left on the ground cable, birds nest wireing job, rubber o-rings on the brake banjo bolts, filthy everywhere, the list goes on.  tickedoff
We were both happy to see it go! He's all Honda now, that was his last Harley! Grin

Here is a '63 Pan Head that I built back in 1973. Used to be a 3 cigarette bike. That is how long it had to sit in order to restart it once it was warmed up. Made for long gas stops, but I wish I still had it. Don't know how I would restart it now that I gave up cigarettes in '87.  Smiley

There is just something about ole Honda Choppers that I still love to see. My CB750 was mild but she and I spent some good times heading down the highway together. I needed to sell her when I did and it was the right thing to do but I sure wish I still had her. I'm afraid I don't have a good digital pic to share. I'll have to dig one out and scan it sometime.
