Willow       It's hard to believe it's been three years since your accident. Reading your post makes me think back about my accident in 2001. I was riding down the highway in Bonner Springs when a dump truck pulled out from a side road.As he was slow getting up to speed he was leaking gravel out the back. I went to the left side to pass when I felt my front tire wiggle.I looked down and saw that I had left the pavement and was on the grass. Before I could get it back to the pavement I hit a tire rut which launched me over the windshield. My Guardian Angel was with me because a guy pulled over and said he would take me to the hospital in his truck.I spent some time in the Trauma center with a bad double break in the right collarbone along with deeply bruised ribs and right Kidney. The man stayed with me until my wife and mother in law arrived and then he went and put my Valkyrie in his barn. He told me after I was thrown off the bike went end over end multiple times. My speed was about 60 mph when I was thrown off. After healing up and taking some physical therapy I climbed back on.

Accidents and Pain Sucks,...Healing is a Bitch,...Not Riding Sucks.

So glad that you healed and learned a lesson. Accidents are learning experiences as well as ways to reflect on where we are in relation to our loved ones, and who really cares.

Healing is a process of refection also. Repairs to onesself and/or the bike make us reflect on the impoetance of maintenence to ourselves and our rides.

Congrats on your three year survival!

PEACE CARL
