I have an interstate tank on my standard. I figured why not install a fuel gauge? so I did

The Motosen fuel gauge is a nice item I just did not really care about the mounting bracket that came with it. I only check the fuel level when someone I am riding with says they need fuel, I still rely on my trip meter for the most part. The fuel gauge is just another do-da-bling-bling-thingie

For my riding, I totally disagree. Depending on wind, and my speed, I get between 19 and 38 mpg, with a best of 40 mpg. My IS tank on my standard now has a motosen gauge on it. It is very accurate.
With such variance in mpg, why use trip meter? To me, the trip meter is totally useless. Gauge is MUCH more accurate.
