Thanks for the report. Obviously you have made this trip a few times. What would you say is the best time to take that trip? Maybe the first weekend of October or??? Looks like something I might want to put on my calendar.

It really depends on the first freeze(first or second), but you do want to try and come on a weekend. They operate the chair lift and it will take you to the top of the mountain, that view is worth the trip any time of the year. Great report!!! I love riding NM and CO. Wish I were just a few miles closer and I would do it all the time!
I am glad you took time for pics. I do occasionally, but lately, I have been in driving mode and haven't taken time to do it.
