If you go far enough north and can cross over into Canada, do it at St. Stephen on highway #9. Then follow the Bay of Fundy north so you can watch the tide come in. That's where you'll have a water level change of 50-60 ft. or more in some places, and it happens rather quickly. You can go down and walk on the ocean floor, twenty minutes later it's covered with more than 30' of water. Really something.
And as mentioned, Acadia Nat'l. Park at Bar Harbor is kinda neat. Be sure to tour the park and stop at Jordan's Pond for some blueberry treats. There's also a car museum somewhere in there but forget just where.
The car museum is at Owls head. Also another one in Wells. Maine is a great place to visit. If you are serious about going, send me a PM.
