...to frequent local businesses rather than buying stuff online lately. But I went to my local favorite gun shop today looking for an accu-wedge for my AR. Now, I go to the shop I do for a reason and their reputation has made them quite popular so the place was PACKED. I think that the impending Christmas season is a factor as well. But I had to stand around for a really long time waiting for the AR guy to make an appearance. He never did so I asked a guy at the pistol counter if I could get an accu-wedge.

Him: "Oh yeah, you want the AR counter."
Me: "Well myself and a few others have been over there waiting for a while and I don't know where XXXX is."
Him: "He should be back soon."
Me: "Alright..."

So I go back over and wait, and wait... XXXX never shows up and now people (including other employees) are starting to as what the heck is going on. They're not helping any of the people looking for AR stuff mind you, just getting concerned at the pileup.

Well here's an idea, how about you just jump in and help out to the best of your ability? I mean I know that these black rifles are extremely complicated and scary but all I'm looking for is an accu-wedge and a few P-Mags and I can probably tell you where XXXX keeps them. I wound up leaving and trying another shop on the way home that didn't have the accu-wedge or P-Mags but did have something else I've been wanting. Looks like I'm ordering these things online.

Does this shop have a web site?  If they do I would go there and let them know what happened!  Or send a letter to the owner.  I doubt they really wanted to loose yours or anyone's business.

I'm actually going to send them a an email or something. Thing is, it's a great shop. When you can actually get a staff member they're fairly knowledgeable, they carry a ton of stuff and their prices are good. I don't WANT to take my business elsewhere but they're a half an hour away so it's not like I can just swing by on a whim. Today I happened to be in the area so I made the stop (which is why I didn't call in advance though half the time the phone just rings and rings because of the in-store volume) but had I made a special trip I'd have been more peeved.
