hi yall,

recently I added a batwing fairing to my bike, well, it got my dad thinking about creature comforts and he decided he wanted to add some sort of wind protection on his sport bike, well, long story short, he not only didnt have any money, but, not much options for adding windshields on a sport bike, so... I used my old mephis shade windshield and this is what we came up with....

can someone say mad max reject, lol

Interesting, nice job.
But, I hope no one takes a forward impact with it in place.
That tippy-top-pointy sharp thang is gonna lay someone open from stem to sternum...

I agree with your assessment, though talking my dad out of it is not happening at the moment. I think it will be ok though, I got the windshield solidly mounted to the diamond plate and its mounted underneath the headlight, should pivot and break off as one piece if, hopefully not, he is in a wreck and flung forward toward the windshield, though, it would be more harmful in the event of a frontal collision  Undecided

Regardless he seems happy, wish I could talk him into a lightweight cruiser, but he is determined now to make a sport tourer for a fraction of the cost,  I guess my next project is building him diamond plate saddlebags...oh, I forgot, that's not the in word with sportbike riders, they prefer to carry their lattes and racer leathers in paniers, lol, hope I don't hit that phase when I reach his age Wink
