...I'd like to start a "pay it forward" program...

Let me know your thoughts.

Good thoughts... I like the ad-hoc way we do it now...

AD-HOC <---I had to look that one up Mike it's a new one on me.....We don't use that word in the Heavy-Haul world I make my living in  ???

Question: What is Ad-Hoc

Answer: On wireless computer networks, ad-hoc mode is a method for wireless devices to directly communicate with each other. Operating in ad-hoc mode allows all wireless devices within range of each other to discover and communicate in peer-to-peer fashion without involving central access points (including those built in to broadband wireless routers).

I've dug through my valk parts boxes a couple of times and don't see a thing in there that he can use.

Can I do my part by sending a few bucks to help defray some of the shipping costs?

An email that accepts pay-pal or an address to send a money order would work for me.

I kinda feel I've put myself in the awkward position to be beggin' for Greg....Thank you just the same for the offer. Big Al got the " donate " deal rolling with his post the day Greg crashed .  http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,36926.0.html

I don't feel right asking for money you are not the first to ask...If folks have some parts they nolonger need thats great and Greg said he would refund shipping. It's not my place to ask or accept money.

Joe,

Have you talked to Don (Highbinder) to see if he can help out.  Gotta believe he's got some extra stuff lying around.

I have a sidestand switch on my Trike.  Didn't take it off, just jumpered it.  Might take me a few days to get it off, but I will if he needs it.  Stan

Joe I never heard of it in the construction/industrial world either and this word has been around since 1659! Now I know why Mike is so smart now, he has been working at the university for years!!  2funny

This is according to Webster:

For the particular end or case at hand without consideration of wider application. Origin of AD HOC. Latin, for this. First Known Use: 1659. Rhymes with AD HOC ...

Joe, The wife and I went in the 4x4 yesterday up to the top of Cherohala to play in the snow. We went home through the Dragon and I saw where Gregg's bike went down the hill. The pictures posted really doesn't show how steep the hill was.  You guys really had a tough time retrieving that bike, it liked to killed me just walking down and back up just one time!

Did you see any pieces/parts ? Greg said something about going back up there to see if he could find anything he could re-use in the re-build. I've not said anything about this cause Rick ( Flask ) gave me a very cool hat that I thought alot of it had a Green / Silver Interstate on it sometime durng the mayhem of diggin' tools out of my saddlebag to get the saddlebags off Gregs bike....I lost my hat  Sad    Did you find it ? Should have been about 20 yards back toward the over-look from where his bike left the mountain.I would not have took $100.00 for that hat just cause Rick gave it to me  Sad

All I saw was some broken pieces from the fairing, but nothing he could have used. The hat may have been there, there was so much litter laying around and it was getting close to dark when we were there. I will try to go back this week and look for it.  cooldude

Joe, got the fairing from the shop today, he repaired the crack and sanded and spotted the scratches. It will still need finish sanding and probably be primed also. Right now, has black primer on it. I am going to include a headlight trim ring also, it has a scratch on the right upper corner, He could paint it and use it that way, or just use the way it is until he can find a better one. I will try to get it shipped off tomorrow.

Bill that's a very kind thing you have done for Greg and I know he is appreciative of this. You and the other folks that has helped Greg with these parts is why I'm very proud to be a member of this club......Long Live The Dragon.
