My brother(da prez)got a room reserved at ground zero yesterday. The guy he talked with said those rooms at ground zero were going very fast. I did not get an exact number from my brother but it sounds like low single digits for rooms left. If anybody is dilly dallying around you might want to call that 800# and git er done. Hoping to match faces with people i've posted with on this great board of ours. Is it July YET?? Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.

I was quoted today that they only had 5 rooms left. Of course I was first told there were no rooms left at the $89.00 price.  Undecided

Anybody else looking forward to July? Grin

Every time some one posts on a subject it takes that subject back to the first message on the board. If you have nothing to ad but want every one else to read the first message at the top, you can just say         "BUMP"                Or just babble crazy stuff like I do  laugh

The way I see it (this being my first year to attend InZane), this gathering of VRCC should be the most attended function for Valkyries in history.
1)  They aren't making 'em any more...so the number of Valks only declines from here.
2)  It's the year of the Dragon   crazy2
3)  I don't know if there is a more central location
4)  There's still a lot of time to increase awareness

So I'm going out on a limb here (still being a VRCC newbie) to suggest that everyone keeps pushing to increase the number of participants.  If you see a Valk in a parking lot, leave a note on it "Join the Valkyries at InZane...www.valkyrieforum.com".  If you happen to venture into your local Honda dealer, can we request to post a notice in their window (can we draft a 8.5 x 11 notice that they can access and print from the board)?  If a co-worker mentions that they know someone who rides a Valkyrie, ask them "have they heard of InZane?"

...just thinkin'

Jack had started a post on the Inzane thread that has information on riding in the Ozarks.  there is a ton of information out there, so if you can't find what you're after, just Google and keep looking. The host hotel is on US 62 which offers access to great rides in either direction.  State 23 runs north-south and also offers some great rides. To the north just outside town is the town of Beaver, the site of a very cool suspension highway bridge... part of a short loop from the hotel.

As far as lodging, there are so many hotels in Eureka Springs that the prices are very competitive.  Support the host hotel, but once it fills up, there are a zillion other options, including a couple of two-wheel only lodges.  The campgrounds in town are very nice, especially the Wanderlust mentioned earlier.  Lake Leatherwood City Park offers a bit more primitive camping, but is just about three miles down the hill from the venue and also has cabins available.  There are a wide variety of cabins, bed and breakfasts, etc. scattered throughout the town and nearby mountains.  The historic downtown area, easily accessible from the hotel has some truly unique hotels, built in the late 19th century, and still operating today.  I can recommend all including the Crescent, the Basin Park, the New Orleans, and the Grand Central.

The town is a lot of fun and offers many attractions, but since you're going to be on two wheels, the real fun will be out on the mountain roads!
