I just installed a set of Cobra floor boards on my 99 Valk.
In order to get my foot on and be able to shift I had to relocate it a few notches upward.
More importantly, I had to cut off the guard on the stock shifter peg so it wouldnt hit the engine.
I know there was a relocation kit at one time to lower the floor boards.
I dont know what it was called or if thats still around.
Is there any after market or even stock Honda shift peg I can use to replace the stock one and still have the guard and space needed for my big feet to be able to upshift this thing??
I also had to max out the brake pedal adjuster just to get it high enough to be useable.

Thanks guys this is also my 1st post here.
As I lurked for months during the rebuild.
I found alot of helpful items using the search.
But found nothing on this problem.
When I figure out how to. Ill post a few before and after pics of this bike Ive given life back to from the dead.

I just clocked mine differently, so I had room to get my toe in between the head and the shifter..the relocation kits are listed on ebay...there was a post earlier about someone using a VTX (?) shifter or something like that, but I can't locate it.

The shifter on a CBR1100XX has a different shape which places it out and up a bit. If you have fat toed boots, getting under the shifter is difficult. I just raised my shifter up one notch on the spline.

Here is a recent thread about the shifter and floor boards.

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,37956.0.html

Here is a link to pics of the cbr1100 shifter install from that thread.

Hope it helps. Still deciding if I'm going to go that route.

Cables been out so I couldnt reply.
Thanks for all your suggestions and tips.
I ended up making my own extentions out of some 2x5 inch steel plate and just lowered both foot pegs an 1.5 inches.
All is good.
