So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

got me to thinking, are there any more new Valks still out there?  Maybe at some dealer still on the showroom or in a crate.  Doubt it but, if so, that would be worth a trip to see my banker.

Many of the used ones around here are nearly new.  I frequently see them for sale on CL with less than 20K miles.

Hey off subject but I hafta say that I noticed you are from Frankfort, and I ride down that way sometimes and that is absolutely beautiful country down by you . All those backroads north of Lexington around all those horse farms with the stone walls lining the rds. Nice curvy roads and great scenery . I'm an hour from the ohio river at Madison and its a nice ride down and once I cross it gets better . Whenever I go to Virg. i take 460 out of Frankfort and follow it all the way down . Have you ever been to "Brokeleg Falls' on 460 ? that is a cool place . I think its in Mcalfee county .something like that .

Well, you never know if you don't ask.  Once I heard a large dealership in Denver had 4 or 5 still in the crate, I called and asked about them.  Sales guy said yep they had a few but the price was well over what I could afford back then.  I sincerely doubt they are still available.

I now need only two things to complete this quest:
1) Google Maps
2) the cast from Ocean's 11

Thanks for the info Wink

What would something like a crate Valk be worth today?  Even scarier question is what kind of shape would it be in? Vehicles are designed to be driven/ridden, not stored away...

I think so too... because you have a Valkyrie  coolsmiley ... after you get that
bike ready, and ride it down some backroads and through some rain storms,
it'll be just like my well used '97  cooldude

There's a 1997 Standard at the Birmingham Motorsports Museum on display with only 9 miles on the odometer.  As good as new if you ask me.

I had the grand plan of pickling a 100 year anniversary Harley and selling it 10 years later..
Fortune had it that the wife put the kibosh on that. She put the Kibosh on me 3 years later.
Shortly after I left I got the Valk. Been grinnin large ever since. Get rid of one fat lady, get another.

I bought my Valk last summer - '99 standard.  It had 8000 miles on it. So clean, it still had the factory stickers on the tank.

If any place in the country has one, it would be G.N. Gonzales Honda in Baton Rouge, La.  The former manager, George Gonzales Jr. had warehouses full of crated bikes at the time of his death, a couple of years ago.  George was an eccentric store owner who worked until he died at 92 years old.  I have no idea what they have done with all the crates since then.
