especially since I moved into my apartment and I'm cooking only for myself.
!/2 pound of 80/20 fresh ground beef from the local custom meats (they do their own slaughtering, no pink slime for them!). No flattening with a paddle, just let it stew in its own juice. A side order of small potatoes covered with butter, salt and pepper, wrapped in aluminum foil, all on my small Weber 150 gas grille.
Two peppers, red and yellow sweet miniatures, raw and crunchy. A nice glass of cheap cabernet box wine and that's it. Fresh strawberries mixed with broken up Oreo cookies and milk will be dessert.
I have no ambition to be a French cook. It works for me.

Tomorrow, maybe fancier. Lamb chops served rare on the grille, Chinese veggies in the wok, and maybe a run to the local Zesto for some soft ice cream.
And so it goes.
