Home Depot sells indoor/outdoor 2 sided tape that holds 5 pounds, it is the best I could find so tonight I am buying it, should not be any problems holding them to the caps.

This is the best stuff I could find at Lowes, it is real strong. I posted about it on another
thread, and some folks said they believed that 3m mounting tape you can get at the auto parts
store is even stronger. I know for sure that there's some really lame versions of double sided 3m tape
at Lowes and stuff...

Alright....so he's selling 6 air filters that tape to your own carb covers for $180...so that's $30 a filter and you have to go buy the tape yourself...man, I don't think I could sleep at night doing that to somebody.... Undecided

Get your money back and buy them yourself individually.  If the guy is going to gaff someone like that... you'd think he would at least supply the 2 sided tape to sell a complete pkg and avoid being found out. uglystupid2

If you check the pics in that ebay seller's ad, it looks like he "borrowed" a pic of Titan's bike to put in his ad.  Bet the yellow and black pics were "borrowed" too.

Tried to file a complaint for fraudulent listing but ebay just has a bunch of drop down menus.  I had a similar situation a couple of years ago and cancelled the transaction.  Iirc, ebay warned me if I did it again within 6 months my rating would take a hit.  I didn't care.

it would be best to file a paypal item not as described complaint. fast. if they drag their feet you can still threaten to cancel the transaction through your cc or bank. and pp will be out the money. they will act QUICK at that time. trust me, it works.

I am not sure what was misrepresented. He called them custom velocity stacks. He can price them anyway he wants to. It's up to the buyer to figure out what is a good deal or not! That is the way Ebay works. If someone doesn't do their homework then they will get burned.

Let me repeat myself for the slower members around here. They are NOT velocity stacks, they are filters.  Now  granted, even velocity stacks mounted on the valk are just for show , BUT, they are custom built pieces that represent a significant amount of time and money in construction. These ARE NOT velocity stacks.

THIS IS A VELOCITY STACK

THIS IS NOT

From the picture in the post above, take the hose clamp off and pull the rubber plug out of the bottom for a good fit.

If it makes ya feel better, there are some creative things you can do with them.

However... I'm thinking that what the guy is doing is deceiving and shouldn't be blessed with a 100% satisfaction rating. So, even though Paxton is taking the loss, he should at least give him a bad review.

I see he's not using the picture of my bike in his latest ripoff. He probably is a member here and reads all this. There's dishonest people everywhere so it would be wrong of us to think every member here is honest. So, we probably have at least one crook aboard.

You guys crack me up  2funny! If you were selling your Valk on Ebay you would take as much as you could get! He is showing pictures of his product. Sure it's an auto parts item that is much cheaper than what he is advertising, but is it his fault that someone buys it? How is this in any way false advertising?  uglystupid2

What's funny about this is that one of the few people NOT crying like a bitch in this thread is the guy who paid too much for them.

Good on you Paxton for owning up to doing something less than smart instead of trying to blame someone else for your failure to pay attention. It's not as everyone here hasn't done it at one time or another. Like you said; you win some, you lose some.

I don't really see where the guy is misrepresenting anything. Calling the alternative product "velocity stacks" is wrong too because they don't do S**T for intake air velocity. Calling them "rainwater collectors" would be more appropriate. If whoever is selling purely ornamental CV diaphragm covers can call them "velocity stacks" then this guy can call them that too. Calling them "air filters" would be just as wrong.

Well Chillerman,  it wouldn't be patent infringement.  It would be copyright infringement.  For example, if you produced a carbonated cola beverage and called it Coca Cola or Coke, the Coca Cola Corporation would hit you with a Cease and Desist Order so fast it would set your hair on fire.   You would be using their copyrighted name.
