So I figured out a way to add it.   Cool

Original thoughts were to extend the scoop on the crash bar forward and mount the lights to the extension, but when I started looking and poking around, I realized that the my highway pegs bracket would make a great point to mount a short piece of angle iron and bolt the lights to that.

Picked up a cheap set of lights from the local wally world, not too impressed with them and may replace them with something more impressive, but these work for now.

Tied into the blue/white wire on the bike side of the 9 pin red connector inside the fairing and used that to signal a relay that is powered (via a fused wire) from the battery.  I don't have a switch inline with this signal wire yet, but when I find one that I like, I will add it.  For now, they're on all the time unless I'm hitting the starter button.  I'm also not happy with the wiring setup, next time I have a need to pull the tank off, I'll pull the pods and wire them up through the pod.

Used an old shelf upright for the angle iron - it was laying around and free is good.  Trimmed it to length, smoothed out all the rough edges, drilled necessary holes and primered/painted them black.

Here's the finished product (ignore the filthy bike  2funny ):

Wally world also sells small projector lights. $20 for the set.  Uses the M16 bulbs.  Looks like the Kury ones.

I think I have those Wally Projector lights, and they are mounted right under (and attached to) the air scoops.   More light is a great thing...  cooldude .. especially as we get a little older.  If you have not already done so..... change our your head light bulbs to the Silverstar ST9003.  I did use the adapters, but I don't think they are needed actually.   The Silverstars are much brighter and project more light.  I didn't notice any  difference between the Ultras and regular Silverstars on my VTX (friend had the Ultra's I had standard Silverstars... and we both thought mine were brighter).

If you go with the Fake kury's replacment bulbs are actually used for landscape lighting.  Lots of bulb choices online spot flood etc, and at local big box hardware stores.  Mounted mine on the front bolts for the front fender.  Std, wasn't lucky enough to find a crazy deal on an I/S...

The Wally world ones I have are the chrome ones with the 50 watt bulbs (750) for $18.95. Mounted them to the bottom screw on the pods. Saw them on Early Birds bike and liked them.

I think that's the set I have on my Shadow. A lot of light, but liked the oval look of these to compliment the oval IS headlight. I may end up with those on the IS though.

I liked the position of these - low and as wide as I could get them.
