Two gas company servicemen, one old, one young, were calling on houses in a neighborhood, checking meters.
At the final house on their rounds, a biker watched through the window as they checked the meter.
When they were through, the older man, wanting to prove his fitness, challenged the youngster to a footrace back to their truck which was parked down the street.
As the two men raced toward the truck, they were surprised to find the biker from the last house huffing and puffing right behind them, “What’s wrong?” they asked him.
The biker gasped, “hell if I know. But when I saw two gas company men running as hard as you two were, I figured I better run, too.”
