Yep!  Not because of the particular issue that's getting all the attention, but in protest of the constant PC-driven stomping of Free Speech!

I just buttoned up a float needle cleanup, seems to run great in the garage on startup now. Think I'll take a short (35 mi.) ride from Crossville to Cookeville, TN and "Eat More Chicken" and test to see if'n I cured the gurgles.

I'm going to buy a couple of bags full for the shop! Not because of the gay marriage issue, more because I think they have just as much right to voice their opinion as Ben and Jerry do. And I don't buy any of their products.

Actually heading to Chicago for the day tomorrow. Hoping to find one along my travels through it.

So if Chick fil a is supporting the traditional family and this is NOT Chicago values, does this mean Chicago Values is stickin it up back end of folks?

Chicago Mark said this in another thread......

"On the contrary, the mayors of Boston and Chicago want to ban Chik-fil-a because the CEO's personal beliefs is that marriage should remain between one man and one woman. Both of these mayors have stated they will not allow Chik-fil-a come into or expand in these cities. But the mayor of Boston was eager to get an Islamic Mosque built in that city and gave them well over $1,000,000 of the taxpayers money to do so. The cleric at that mosque has said publically that any homosexual  should be either thrown off a high building, burned alive or stoned to death. So the Boston mayor is acting like the thought police for a private citizens personal beliefs but endorsed the mosque who actively support the killing of homosexuals. Seems you can draw your own conclusions as to who truly believes in free speech and thought. All too often people say they support 'choice'. All too often what they mean is that you can have a 'choice' as long as it's the one they have."

I don't even like Chik-fil-A, haven't eaten one in in probably 25 yrs. but I'll have one, today.

I'm not  in complete agreement with the ownership, My god doesn't hate fags, I think gays should have the same rights at the county courthouse as straights, I'm just  tired to death of them dog-piling anyone who doesn't agree with them.

Where did you get the idea that the owner of Chic-Fil-a hates "fags"? From what I have read he just voiced his opinion on the meaning of marriage based on his faith.

I am not a man of faith but I do believe that every business owner has the right to have an opinion that differs from the politically correct Left. I believe that a business owner should be able to run his business any way he chooses, and the government has no right to tell them who they MUST serve, what they are allowed to say, or how they must act. I believe that should be left up to the customer.

I work for a company that supplies McDonalds. McDonalds is constantly under fire from the left. I don't understand why the liberal left finds it necessary to force others to comply to their agenda. If you don't want to patronize a business then don't.

I haven't purchased ANY fast food in the last 8 years. But that is MY choice. Today I'm going to break that streak.

I didn't know that the VP for Chick died in this controversy so I figured all here may not have heard either
Chick-fil-A's vice president of public relations, Don Perry, died suddenly early Friday, the company said, leaving the embattled restaurant chain without its chief spokesman amid a marketing crisis.
"Don was a member of our Chick-fil-A family for nearly 29 years," the company said in a statement. "For many of you in the media, he was the spokesperson for Chick-fil-A.  He was a well-respected and well-liked media executive in the Atlanta and University of Georgia communities, and we will all miss him."WRBL, a CBS television affiliate in Columbus, Ga., reported that Perry died of a heart attack, citing franchise owner Ross Cathy, son of Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy. Chick-fil-A has come under fire from some patrons, politicians and supporters of same-sex marriage over Dan Cathy's public support for traditional marriage and the "biblical definition" of families.
Protesters have demonstrated outside restaurants against what some describe as the company's "intolerance" of same-sex marriage. Chick-fil-A has a long tradition of adhering to conservative religious practices including closing on Sunday.

In order to conform to his "Chicago Values", Mayor Emanuel will have to close all Muslim businesses, the Catholic Church, most protestant churches, and will have to fire most city workers.  Gosh, what a pandering hypocrite.  Yes, Chic-fi-a tonight.

I just ate lunch in a CFA here in Downtown Houston.   It is in a foodcourt.   Must have been 300 people in line, took about 40 minutes to get to the order desk.    My brother in Tomball Tx where we live said the CFA there has the line out the door and down the side of the bldg and the parking lots for several business around are packed and there is a line of cars up and down hyway 2920 waiting to get in the parking lot.

I think maybe people are getting tired of the small percent of the population kicking the silent majority around.

Just got back from CFA in Orlando. The place was beyond packed There are three lines going around the outside of the building. And traffic is backed up. The Home depot parking lot is full That was pretty much the only place to park. It's like a party atmosphere, all the people in line are happy, and helpful. They are helping bus tables and pass out drinks. it took me an hour and 15 minutes to get through the line.  cooldude

Joanne is in Lakeland, FL she said Hwy 98 is jammed with cars trying to get in.

the restaurant in Pompano Beach really impressed me today, cars backed up 1/4 mile or so. a couple of nice couples out in front with their American flags an a sign that said "honk if you love Jesus" of course the second sign said " God hates Fags" but that's freedom of speech. I hope God gives them what they deserve in the end.

remember I'll box anyone who tries to stop them from expressing their opinion, right or wrong.

All these long lines at CFA's and in Houston Willobrook CFA there were 3 lines out the door and down the sidewalk.  People were in a party mood, customers were bussing tables and passing drinks down the line.    My brother's sisterinlaw was there and said with all those people the media was outside interviewing 3 protestors.     I've searched most of our local channels and there is nothing about the lines at CFA........but you can bet your booty that tonight those 3 protestors are going to be on the news.      Soon as I finish this letter I'm gonna call Channel 2 Houston where I look at the internet news and weather....and all their commercials....... every day and tell them if I don't see an article about all the people who came to support
CFA i'll start looking at another channel's internet news from now on.
