Was wanting to hear from someone that had drilled thru all 3 baffle plates on stock pipes. Wondering what it sounds like and if you get the droning effect. Someone has drilled thru 2 baffle plates in mine and still pretty quiet but it has that droning effect. Drives me crazy. Thanks for the help.

Mine is drilled in that manner, with 18" extensions in place of stock tips.
It has a continuous sound, I guess you could call it droning, but it doesn't bother me.

The droning doesn't come from drilling one baffle or all 12 of them.  The droning comes from cutting off the piggies.

The piggies are there to get the exhaust note out to the back of the exhaust tip and exit the exhaust pipe/can/tips.

When you cut the piggies, the exhaust note resonates in the tip instead of exiting the rear of the pipe causing the drone.

When riding with anything that covers your ears.....such as a motorcycle helmet  Cheesy  the drone is amplified in your ears and will drive most people nuts.  And if you have tinnutis, it can drive you batshit crazy and actually hurt.

Thanks BF, they had cut the piggies off. Will have to try and fix that. Can't stand that droning racket in my head.

There's a couple of ways to address the drone issue.

There's a couple very recent active threads on restoring the piggies....and there's several ways to fix/restore them.  Basically it depends on how much of the piggies you've got left to work with....if anything.  Search around.

MarkT sells what he calls piggie plates.  Basically, they're the piggies cut off from stock exhausts that he salvages before he does his glass-pak mods to them.

You can weld (or otherwise re-attach) them back on to the muffler can......however, I tried a set on mine that had the ragnar cut done to them (no baffles at all) and it sounded really weird....sorta high pitched.  Didn't like that at all.

Another option, which is the way I went, was a set of Rex Stainless Insert Silencers.  These....

You'll need to drill one hole in each pipe/tip to secure them.

I recommend you read this thread......

I highly recommend those silencers.....AND.....a set of Grumpys tips.  The Grumpys will help disrupt the exhaust note coming out of the exhaust even more.....plus they look sweet.   cooldude  The smaller bore Grumpys will help even more so.

Basically, you can drill out all of your baffles and install the silencers and a set of Grumpys and fix your drone and still have a sweet rumblin' Valk.

Mine have all of the rear baffles drilled (actually, there gone....is in, it had the Ragnar cut done) with the silencers and Grumpys tips and I love the way it sounds now.
