Hey Deadpan, good to hear from you. I thought that you might have gone into full hibernation. I will be there with my wife, McKenna, Ron, and possibly Chase. I talked to Phil the other day and he is onboard with his wife also. I will email Neil, a new guy here in the Springs that I have not yet met and see if he will show. Josh, can you locate the new rider in Pueblo and get him this info? Anyone that can come please reply here. We need some sort of a head count to give to the restaurant.
As of now it's Looking like
Wrangler and his wife
Dick
Josh not sure about your wife
Phil ans Lupe
Tom and Bev
Jim and Dana
Ron
Dean and Kris
Dave and Robin
Mark and June
Dave Brewer and friend.
Possibly Donavan and his wife
FJR and his family I hope.
Kim and I
McKenna and Chase
I will also check with Terri and Zander
Seth, what about you and Chito?
Hopefully the new bloods will show.
Am I missing anyone?

When the scuba schedule gets posted for first quarter I will be able to say yes or no.
One of the guys I work with is now a valk owner, I'll see if he is available.
Thanks for getting this together.
Merry Christmas

Permafrost here with big snows coming.  Might consider coming in a cage to share some lies with everybody.

I think all will be on four wheels. This is not intended to be a ride in. This is a supper to get the group together and break up the winter blues. Jump in the car and come ahead on. Should be a great time. Some are thinking they will stay overnight just to extend the fellowship. I will be in a cage for sure. My wife doesn't ride and I can't see at night. Bring it.  cooldude

Happy New Year!  The "Winter Party" will happen Saturday, Jan. 16th, 2016.  The location has not been firmed up yet due to numbers confirmation.  Both locations are just north of the Colorado Blvd. exit for I-25.  We can get the Hacienda Colorado or The Courtyard by Marriott if we get some firm numbers.  If the response is below 25 people, it will be general seating at the Hacienda.  First come, first served, with no guarantee of parties being together.  If we are to reserve a room or seating space at either place it requires a deposit and firm commitment from our group.  All the places I contacted seemed to have very similar requirements, all guaranteed by a credit card.  The Hacienda Colorado was the cheapest reserved seating, with a $1,400.00 minimum.  We don't meet the minimum, the balance is charged to a credit card.  We can have a reserved room, ordering off the main menu, and beverages add up to the minimums.  $1,400.00 and $1,800 are the numbers for the Hacienda, all the other places like the Rock Bottom, View House and Park Meadows are much higher.

I will know the details from the Courtyard on Monday, Tuesday at the latest, of this coming week.  If we can get one of the meeting rooms at The Courtyard, we would all be together, order off their menu, and we can have some fun.  If we can come close to a minimum or menu deposit,  we could do a 50/50 raffle to make up the difference and put the balance in a kitty for future use or donate it to a good cause.

This event will happen, we just need your final input and numbers to solidify it!  Get with Misfit, myself, or post it on this thread with your commitment.   Saturday January 16,  2016  5:30pm!

As an alternate plan I just spoke to the Golden Corral east of i25 on Arapaho rd and they have a meeting room open on the 16th that we can use for free. If this works we need to reserve the space soon. Not trying to throw a monkey wrench into your plans Bill but I doubt that anyone wants to gaurantee that we will spend $1400.00-$1800.00 on supper. I'm game for either place but I won't be putting up my card in hopes that enough will show. Opinions?  cooldude

Let's get commitment.   If that's not going to happen, it's ala carte.  I don't care where we go, as long as we sit together.

Bill, Robin & I are in either way. The buffet maybe the more flexible (and cheaper) option, unless we have 45-50 attendees the cost per person seems a little high to cover the cost of the room.

There are several hotels in the $70-120 price range about 4 miles away, from the Golden Corral,  near Arapahoe and I-25.

Thanks for your efforts in putting this event together

Dave

PS there is a bowling alley in the same parking lot as the restaurant, if anyone is interested.

Thanks Misfit, lets do the Golden Corral!  I was just thinking of the "out of towners" that may need a hotel room.  No one gets stuck with the deposit if there's a big snow storm and no one shows.  Same time in the evening?

Glad to hear that you are going to make it Seth.  cooldude Mike, if you never come to any of these gatherings you are never going to come to any of these gatherings. As far as I know everyone that's coming has a job. It's ok to take a day off and hang out with us. I'm not looking to bash you but you have no idea what you are missing. I have lifelong friends because of gatherings just like this that I have attended all over the country. There are some great folks out there but you are going to have to take the first step. Chances are they are not going to show up on your doorstep. I met you in Montrose and have no doubt that you would fit in fine and enjoy yourself. Come on in. The water is fine. Once you do you will make these gatherings more of a priority. I know it's hard to take that first step sometimes and that you do have other commitments but don't we all. Life is short. Come join us and have some fun. We would love to have you. Jump in with Seth I'm sure that he would be more than happy to bring you over.  cooldude

Thanks for the gentle prod....    The problem is that I was
"sick" for a couple of days round Christmas and New Years
when my son was here to visit. Believe me, I am looking forward
to my first real "meetup" with Y'all. I've gotten with Valkorado
several times a year and rode some beautiful roads;  he's

I kind of wish I worked more. Last year I put over 6,000 miles on the Valk because of work. I pledged to ride to all my business ventures instead of fly, and that I did. Although this year I pledge to ride to actual VRCC events instead of work events. GOTF, InZane, just to name a few.
