If this monster has 38 lows then the pilots are probably set at 1.5 to 1.75 turns ? How about opening them to 2 to 2.5 while the cleaner is being used. See if that clears it up and then re-set them back.

That is a good recommendation for him Patrick.

Didn't knoiw he had a trigger wheel and a Dyno when we started, the Dyno would of been the 1st thing I'd of had him replace & check for correction, if not then put it back in.

I agree. It would be nice if we had all the info prior to trying to resolve any problem, but, we know that doesn't happen. In this case maybe it wasn't known at first, but, still would have been nice to know when it was discovered. Us old time board members know there were issues with the early Dyna's. It's a good thing whenever we can get one of these monsters up and running correctly.

Hold up as you call yourself "OldTimer" (actually I almost in that category). Cheesy Grin

I didn't mean to hijack Mapper's thread at all, I hope your not confusing my bike issues with Mappers? Are you. ???

What little I shared about my bike performance issue had nothing to do with Mapper's not running issue.
I also thought when I first mentioned an issue with my Phat Gurl I did note that I had a Dyna3K maybe I am miss reading what you wrote? angel
After my last big project which also included clean up rebuild, re-jet and synch carbs. I did set them all to 1.75 turns out and she ran perfectly at that point. I have actually already bumped the carbs on the right side to 2+ turns out for just the exact reason you mentioned the miss did not happen for almost a year after the rebuild and yes I have checked synch before ad after the adjusting the idle circuit to the 2.25 turns out. I have also swapped out the Dyna with the stock ICM and the issue did not change at all not one bit of change still had sporadic miss.

Either way I still have problem and will do the proper thing and start my own thread later if I can't get my bikes issues figured out. As mentioned way back in the past on this forum I work nights and a really lousy set of hours and days so working on my bike on anything other than a Sunday afternoon or Monday is usually out of the question for me....
