Has anyone ever used Nissin HH break pads on there Valk? I noticed my stock rotors were wearing badly so decided to check the system. What I found was nissin HH rated break pads with my stock rotors, that looked real bad with deep cuts. Changing everything over to EBC pads with HH rating and new EBC rotors.

Over the years the general consensus has been that if you keep OEM rotors you should use OEM softer pads.  If you go to EBC pads you should use EBC rotors.

You can use EBC organic pads on a stock rotor without problems. I have and absolutely no damage to the rotors. Sintered pads is another story. If your rotors are badly grooved nothing will probably service you very well except to change them out. FWIW

any brand organic pads are easy on rotors.  Mine are EBC  Hoser

u have pics of the rotors? most likely there is nothing wrong with them, all will have some type of mild grooves.

I have to agree with CA.

Regardless of the grooves in the rotors, it is Ok to use some organic brake pads and let them "wear in" to match the rotors.

Cheap organic pads work fine and you will get plenty service out of them.

And since they are so cheap, there is no pain to replacing them when they wear down, which they will do, since you are

using them on grooved rotors. Still, in all, you'll get a full season out of them, that's for sure.
