OK I went back out and started round #3  and only had to make small adjustments .  Started round #4 and only had to make very small adjustments then when I got done with #6 I put petcock hose back on and she started sputtering and died.  WHAT  tickedoff    I tried to start her back up and she wouldn't stay running  tickedoff  so I tried full choke and she started but died.  Started scratching my head uglystupid2   DUH. Ran out of gas 2funny
Went and got 5 gallons of ethanol free added 1/2 can of seafoam   poured it in and VAROOM  cranks and idles GREAT.
Thanks Patrick for the Great instructions they were Right On.   cooldude couldn't have done it without your very detailed input.  That's what I needed  cooldude
Thanks to you Salty1  for all your help and encouragement  too angel
Now just waiting for some valve stems to arrive and I will get to take her on a test ride.

Valve stems came Saturday ,  Thank - you , Jimmy T cooldude
Put 40 psi in front and rear ( general altimax  205/60 ) and went for a ride and all I can say is she really want's to STAND straight up.   She does handle different but I kinda like the way it feels.  Only went 10 miles, Will know better after a few more miles.
2500 rpms at 55 mph
3200 rpms at 70 mph

I have a couple more  questions  Shocked
First there is some popping while riding and deceleration.
Second I had to replace 2 Exhaust studs and I did not SEE any Exhaust gaskets , they may not have come off with the pipes.  is it a single gasket or individuals?
And could that be the cause of the popping?  Undecided
Or should I be looking elsewhere?

Thanks ,
Wewa

I've been on car tires for 60k. I would try the back at 32-34 lbs. Front 40-42 lbs. I think your popping is definitely do to exhaust gaskets. You've done just about everything else, I'd put new gaskets on. cooldude

Seems like you may have too much rear tire tire pressure. 40# in the front should be fine. 40+# in a rear MC tire is fine, but, may be too much for an auto tire.

Some Popping is normal especially if the exhaust has had some modifications.
There are , or supposed to have, exhaust manifold gaskets/rings. The originals are split copper and each tube has its own ring [ in other words a total of 6]. They can be hard to see and even harder to remove sometimes. Do not scratch the cylinder head when removing them. But, they need to be removed and replaced. [I prefer the fiber aftermarkets]. These can sometimes be a royal PITA to keep from leaking. And, they can be a source for popping as well as just plain leaking[ticking] at any time.

OK  , I looked them up on partzilla and it says 6 but no pics so don't know which kind they are.
And it is. More like a ticking than popping.   ;
I will adjust to 34 in the rear thanks for the  input cooldude

So how should I get the old gaskets out without scratching ?

I have a set of tools from Harbor Freight, or off the Snap-On truck that one is a pick, 1 is a punch, 1 is a fine point marker.

One has a 90* angle pick that will usually grab the old gasket and pull it right out.

And, yes, the gaskets

Thanks I will order them today.  I already have a pick and a 90° pick so I am good with that.
What is the best way to install the Exhaust gaskets do I just put put them on the exhaust pipes and bolt them on?
Or will the exhaust studs break if I  try to pull them up?

The easiest way to install them is to squeeze them ever so slightly out of round, just enough so they will stay in the exhaust port, Make sure there are no (some times people have stacked more than one) old gaskets in the port(s).  Slip the new gaskets in and install your exhaust.

Another way is to put some grease on one side of the gasket and place it in the exhaust port. This has worked for me and you don't have to do any balancing act.  There may be a little smoke until the grease burns off. FWIW  Roll Eyes

When installing those exhaust rings, go easy. Just snug them. 7 lb/ft is all they take. So just a short wrench and snug them. I start from the center and work my way out. You'll need to go over them several times and do it again after they have been run a times.
