How's The Hurricane on US441 near the Dead River for lunch & then a short ride to Champions Honda just outside of Eustis sound for Saturday the 26th? Champions Honda is supposed to be receiving two 2014 Valkyries on the 23rd. They already have at least four F6B on the floor right now. Those who have not seen the new Valk in person would get a good look there! Plus it would be cool to freak out the patrons & staff with a big pack of the "classic" Valkyries!     Opinions wanted.  |

I'll be at Leesburg Bike Fest in the am, might just catch up with you guys at Champions, it would be kinda cool having a bunch of Valks rolling in. |

I was thinking maybe gather at 11:30 in the parking lot, head in at noon. Afterwards ride to Champions for the festivities . Then we can head into the "Main St. pirates den" at our leisure. Sound good? Give me a rough head count so I can warn the innkeeper. |

We would certainly love to make this one. We will be leaving for Northern climes on May 1st, so time may be getting tight. But we will do our best.  Also, bought a new home in Deland, and will be back down here for inspection/closing on 5/30. Moving there will make many things more central. |

Great idea Jeff. If we ride up together I want to take some back roads I've taken before. Then as we pass a friend's place on the lake in Eustis I plan to lay on the horn....just to irritate. If we had a couple more bikes in the group it would really get their attention so hoping maybe Larue and Jack can join us. I'll tell you the story behind it sometime....kinda interesting. |

Has a decision been made on a final rally point for the masses? Saw the first post; but, Jeff's post with John's post would have us meet up somewhere else so the group can raise a little HELL going by someone's house which sounds like a lot of fun. I too would like to hear this story.

Just to reclarify... Lunch at the Hurricane then ride together to Champions Honda, about 3-4 miles the OPPOSITE way from Main Street. After checking out Champions Honda everyone go their own way. No group ride planned through Main Street. FYI the 75 Chrome Shop in Wildwood is having their truck show again this year on the same weekend. It is a nice diversion from the pirate fest that is Leesburg Main Street. Hope to see a great turnout! |

I will ask them this week if they would be open to some cool photo ops with us. I mentioned the possibility of a "classic Valkyrie" invasion during the Bikefest & the sales guys seemed very positive about that! I'll also see if they are going to have the 2014 Valkyries in on the 23rd like he said. He was hoping to have at least one to be on hand for Leesburg. Regardless it would be really cool to freak 'em out with a Valkyrie show in their parking lot, the more the better! |

Bill, the address for the Hess Station is 2617 W. Fairbanks Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789. It is on the N/W corner of Fairbanks Avenue and I-4. John, Jeff and Larue. As it stands right now, not sure that I will be able to ride at all on Saturday. Sure sounds like fun and would like to join in the horn festivities I'll try to make it and will let you know as soon as I can. Hope you can Jack. Glad you can make it Larue. We will be like the "Old Wild Bunch", well John anyway, terrorizing the innocent citizens of the sleepy hamlet of Eustis with guns ablazing, pipes screaming...or maybe just blowing the horn..either way, I'm down with it!! Thanks Jeff, are you guys meeting at the Hess Station for a group ride to the Hurricane Restaurant? Then ride up to Leesburg after lunch? The Hurricane is much closer to me so I would just meet up with everyone for lunch at the Hurricane.

Billy Boy, Thanks for the shout out, but, It looks like I am only 43 miles from The Hurricane Restaurant I will jump on I-4 super slab at McIntosh exit ... I think it will be easier to meet everyone there and ride to Leesburg with the group. It will be good to see everyone again, my daughter is trying to get ahead on her studies so she can ride in with us.

Eeek... it's too hot and crowded... my make-up is going to melt! Okay, so it was a bit toasty  and all that but in my mind it was well worth it for the parade of 34 (I think) Valkyries through the mayem of downtown. Probably a one-time thing but cool. It's a pity that no one rode ahead to film the event. Anyway, it's obvious that I'm not going to convince you bunch of old fogies to do it again ... and I'm confused by the 300 posts of meeting here and there and over yonder ... so can someone humor me and just tell me what time y'all are going to be at Champions? I guess I should ask where the Hurricane Restaurant is too... depending on where it is maybe we could meet y'all there first. ... I'll be in Leesburg Friday with 6 or 8 friends including one with a 2000 Tourer. He's never seen a whole bunch of Valks all together before so I plan to coerce him into joining me. Lookin' forward to seeing y'all again. |
