Hi. This spring I did the Desmog and installed an AFC 152 electronic fuel shutoff valve. This year at several points I've run into fuel issues when at hi-way speeds with 1/3 or less fuel on the gauge. Also I've run out of gas twice with 2 or 3 bars showing on the dash, and had to go to reserve to get to a gas station (never had to do this before the installation). I think the filter part needs too much fuel weight on top to let it flow properly.

http://www.usgemini.com/parts/filter-lockoffs.html It looks to me like the 152 is just a 151 shutoff with the 155 filter attached. Does anybody think that the two are separable? Has anyone tried this successfully? I'll eventually try it in the fall, but would feel better if I wasn't the pioneer here...
