Were you speeding or not?  If yes, you need to man up and pay the ticket. If no, fight it.

Yes I am planing on paying the ticket. And it has nothing to do with "manning up". Fighting will require me to drive 700 miles one way.  A waist of time for the relatively small fine.

But you missed the point of my post. I am saying these cameras are a violation of due process. They sent the ticket to my wife NOT me the driver. Let me ask you. You are speeding down the road. Cop pulls you over. He writes and gives a ticket to your wife not you because the car is in her name.  Now how fast would you be down to the court house to fight it? In a freaking heart beat and it would be thrown out. How is this any different?

Think about how the G uses vehicles to generate revenue.

Sales tax (once), personal property taxes (forever), driver's license, registration, title, license plates, required insurance, inspections (engine lights and enforcement of 1000 regulations), taxes on tires, oil, gas, fees to throw away tires, toll roads/bridges, parking tickets, parking meters, traffic violations, and camera enforcement.  (what did I forget?)

Private ownership of vehicles is a cash cow for the G.

Taxing necessities is regressive (and lucrative).

pay the ticket. you are guilty.  just because a cop didn't stop you doesn't mean you are off the hook.   what if only a camera saw a car hit you on your motorcycle? is that person off the hook because no one saw him/her?

Interesting perspective from a few.

Question to those few: when you glance down and notice you are exceeding the PRV do you make a note to write a check to the court just as soon as you get home?  You are guilty whether a law enforcement officer saw you or not.

It certainly is something for me to think about.   Wink

I'm sixty-four.  I didn't sleep through grade school.  there are times I will use two words as a noun and modifier.  Other times I choose to more specifically apply the compound.  I tend to cling to what was right when I was taught it was right rather than let a spell checker do my thinking for me.

You also may have some confusion regarding your non-corporeal beings.    Wink

Agreed and acknowledged.  You do, though, have nice choices in Valkyrie colors.   Smiley

After doing a little research, it appears that there is a number of easy ways to undetectably "mask" your license plate using infrared LED's or commercially available sprays, etc. and thereby cause it to be invisible to camera radars.

Enter the following search string in Google:

infrared led invisible license plate camera

These cameras and road side traps are a violation of law in many cases that is why they have not been accepted everywhere and some cities are removing them. To those select few don't you get tired of our rights being taken away and judges not following the law or do I hear the bleating of sheep? I know of no one that cannot be classified as a criminal these days. With so many laws in the books it is virtually impossible not to break a law. But it seems people in government do not have that problem though, since it seems they get a free pass.  Wink
