I ran into another Valk rider today who said there is a new set of gears to give better fuel mileage but they are taller. Anyone know good/bad about changing from the stardard gears on the Valk?
They are Mario gears, they are across the pond & they are expensive,
Before ya get all happy & crazy with your loose change, talk to Bill Ferguson aka BigBF.
I wonder how many of those are still on the road in the US? I installed several sets for people, but I don't hear from them anymore. So, I wonder where they went?
Jeff, I know BigBF's feelings on the gears, what is/was your take on them? Did you install a set for your Interstate? The $995.00 for the gears would have choked me up but the install is what scared me the most.
This is what I wrote up on it way back when I installed them.
http://www.jkozloski.com/Mario%20gear.htmI never installed them in my bike because I was spending tons on money on making more horse power. I didn't see the need. Mileage was never much of a concern of mine, Hp was.
I rode a few of them. With superchargers and without. If you like the power, you will be disappointed, but I did not find them to be as horrible as Big BF did. I had my Daughter on with me and we were passing cars in fifth gear at highway speeds without a problem.
Though it is really a moot point, they don't sell them in the states.
