If you replace the pegs with boards and then lower them, you will grind them everytime you lean into a turn. If you are a flat lander thT doesn't like carving a line in the twisties, it may work for you.
Well that may be a bit of an exaggeration. I have the lowering kit and floorboards and yes I do scrape more often. But I've been on many twisty roads and still have much life left on my boards. The lowering kit makes a huge difference in comfort (and I'm only 70"). I'did remove the lowering kit because of scraping but put them back on because of the extra comfort.
