I have a 2000 I/S with a Motor Trike kit on it . It had glass packs on it, which I removed and will replace with a set of stock pipes. I need to put some truck stacks on them to extend them past the back edge of the kit. What size pipe do I need to put on and where can I purchase them. What I mean by what size is: 4" ID or 4" OD.  Thank you for any help you might be able to give.

ID refers to inside diameter. OD refers to outside diameter.

Mike,

Is this the trike Mitch had?

I extended the exhausts on mine last year with 20" long, 4" lengths of galvanized truck exhaust pipe with the stock tips attached to the ends.  The piggies were extended with 3/4" copper tube and the 4" pipe was cheesecaked with 2" holes to lighten it.

It's not necessary to extend the piggies, although there seems to be a debate as to droning without the extensions.

My project and other similar ones are discussed at:

Call me & I'll help you with the project. I've got welders, drill presses etc. needed for the job. We can do it in an afternoon.
