I was thinking of installing a strobe like LED brake light on my IS. Planning on using the infamous blank spot where the light were the tourer/standard brake light sits.

Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion where to get the brake assembly piece to fit in the hole?

You can always add a "back off module" to your existing tour trunk lights. You can set the duration of the light flashing & the they stay on till you release the brakes

Just buy the necessary Honda std/tourer tail light parts.  You can rig any module you want to it.  An 1157 bulb is brighter than any of the single trunk lights,  or you can get a plug and play LED array to replace the 1157.  When I want flashing, I just tap-tap-tap-tap-tap my hand lever.

Here's the parts list.  http://forums.delphiforums.com/valkyrie/messages/?msg=11596.1

This is what I added to the I/S, fits on the chrome bar under the trunk.

I'm not Bighead - but - I got mine at www.Motor55.com in Taiwan. They have a very nice GL1800 spoiler for a lot less than OEM. Several here have them, as I do, and a the fit and finish is fine. It comes with either clear or red lens and is painted to a factory color. I got mine in black and it matches perfectly. Mine's black  Shocked They are painted in Gold Wing colors of course. Shipping is right at $25 to the US and it came quickly.
