It's been said here already and on the news; that there are trans genders serving honourably now.  Sure there is.  Not all of them are (as I said) confused little snowflakes.  But, once the green light is given there will be lots that are confused little snowflakes and the military will have to take them too.

I spent 15 years in an all male combat job (special forces).  The primary reason women were excluded was the combat part I m sure.  But we all knew that women just aren't built to do that job.  Hold yer horses!  I know as soon as I say a woman can't to it, someone will find a hand full that can do it and kick my ass as well.  The problem is, they are the exceptions.  Once open to women there would be lots that were not like those exceptions, along with the drama, and the special rules, and the conflicts over who's not "cutting the mustard" so to speak.

And don't say it wouldn't happen, it happens all the time in jobs that were historically all men and then let women in.

So yes, there are no doubt great warriors that are trans genders and no one really knew? I f that is possible.  Open the flood gates and I promise that will not be the norm.  It will me a mess just like the little snowflakes kids we have now that just came in for college, there will be the snowflakes that come in for the medical.

first off thank u for your service.

I can give a perspective from the civilian side. I worked for the Dept of Navy for 33.5 yrs retired last yr. I saw the changes when woman were put on the ships. in the traditional harder trade skill departments such as A-gang, engineering div, H-gang, etc., when woman are introduced the men have to work 4 times harder and much, much longer hours. Due to most of the woman assigned to those groups didn't want to get dirty or do manual work and usually always claimed the monthly thing A LOT to get out of work. I heard this from the enlisted, chiefs, Senior Chiefs, warrant officers and lower rank officers and witnessed it myself while doing repairs, inspections, and training classes. Were there exceptions, Absolutely!, I met some woman that were very knowledgeable, could weld and turn a wrench with the best of them, but that was very few and very far between. Case in point, my last four years I trained a new engineer who was a woman. she could wrench just as good as some of the male engineers I trained over the years, she wasn't afraid to get dirty or do the manual work. Yet there were at least seven other females in this engineering dept who didn't know the difference btwn a phillips and a flat head screwdriver and didn't care to learn, they just wanted to sit at a desk and do paper work.

Well to discuss this rationally we have to define a few things.

When we speak of someone who is transgendered we are not speaking of someone who simply states that they are transgendered and therefore should be considered as such. No, there are standards to this.

This would require medical standards. Medical treatments like hormone therapy, physiological therapy, and other medical requirements to maintain such a condition.

The point of "banning" transgendered folks from military service is that the Treatments and therapies required to maintain such a condition would now be the responsibility of the military.

The responsibility of the military is to kill people and break things. Requiring the military to maintain the gender identity of it's personnel is way, way out of the box.

If the military is compelled to allow such people into the military then the military, by default, must maintain their gender identities as a medical necessity. If this is not done then it puts entire units at risk as now you would have people in these units who can no longer function as they wouldn't be able to maintain their medical needs. Which are rather extensive.
This reply I agree with 100% . Trump talked about this with the military Generals. End of discussion, they are in charge. Who is running the military? The snowflakes? Something that bugs me is women firefighters and police. They just are not the same as men when it comes to handling a really hard job. I know if I was needing rescue from a burning two story house I want a big strong guy helping me. My Dad was a firefighter for 20 years an had done some tough work. Look at some videos of female police getting tossed around.

Seen the pics of our soldiers carrying out their wounded buddies.  220 man on the shoulders of their friend.

Pray tell me how that goes if the only soldier around the wounded one, is a 5'2" 110# woman? Same for fire fighters.  Can that woman carry a 245# man down four flights of stairs?

The physical standards should be the same.  Do the job, or get out.  Does not matter gender, do the job.  Different standards for women is wrong. Gets people DEAD.

Transgender Surgeries Would Cost Pentagon $1.3 Billion

http://freebeacon.com/issues/transgender-surgeries-would-cost-pentagon-1-3-billion/

Taxpayer-funded sex-change surgeries would cost the Pentagon $1.3 billion over 10 years.

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that transgender individuals will not be eligible to serve in the military, with the White House citing cost and military readiness concerns.

Internal data provided to the Washington Free Beacon from Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R., Mo.), a leading opponent of taxpayer-funded sex changes, show that even by using a conservative estimate, the costs associated with 0.7 percent of the military population is great.

We have a country full of crybabies. The Commander in Chief said  no, it's no (or should be). That's what people don't get!  The military is not a democracy. No should be no, period!

There were things I couldn't do as an active duty member that the normal civilian could. That's because the military has a higher mission.

We shouldn't  want to or allow the higher calling and need for more discipline to be watered down. If it doesn't seem fair to someone they can turn and walk the other way. It's still voluntary.

Sign on the line and accept the rules. That's how it works. No one cares how you feel about it or wants to hear you complain!

I know you do Carl. As I've always considered the Grunts we carried to be marginal he men.  Wink

Comma, comma, no period.  Grunts is lower cased.   Wink

I can only imagine you must have very high standards of masculinity if you considered Marine grunts to be marginal men.   Shocked   LOL!  Remind me not to get into physical competition with you.   Wink
I wanna see a meathead vs. Willow interpretive dance competition at the next InZane.  Anyone else who feels their manliness is in question can compete with them as well.  The music can be a medley of Culture Club, Queen, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and David Bowie hits.

I wonder how any LGBT who might have voted for him is feeling now.

+1. Twisted logic straight from the twisted media.  Trump said he would protect the LBGT community from persecution basically.  He never promised them free access to the military and military healthcare so they can get free gender alterations on our tax dollars.
