Hey all: Have searched the forum and Utube for a step by step repair when repairing the idler gear on a 1997 Valk. I haven't been able to locate a video or instructions on how do the job. Engine is out and stripped down, starter out and trying to find the best way to remove the broken gear. HELP is desperately needed. Thanks to any and all suggestions .

Photos?I'm guessing it's press fit on the shaft and requires a gear puller.Tap the new one on with a rubber mallet gently.

Thanks for the tip, also looking for a description and or modification of the two sockets required to remove the gear. Someone had posted a pic on here and of course now I can't find it. Hope you can help.

Search hydro lock parts ..
Most pics are gone now because of photobuckets ransoms.

Thanks, will give it another try. The first two times I tried the page just came up  Error. I think we got enough info from the service manual, but it would have been good to see pics from someone who had done it.

You'll find that most of the pictures are gone now, from old, because of photobucket screwing everyone.

Here is the sockets.
