I read this post on goldwingdoc
http://goldwingdocs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=38884Seems a member had a opened bottle of brake fluid in their trunk to top up their reservoir, and it leaks a little. Since the inside of the trunk is unpainted, he notice a problem. The trunk started braking apart.
Not much to read in the above post, just the original post and a reply.
I never knew there was an issue with this, only with brake fluid on painted surfaces.
It's not that I need to carry fluid with me, but I have taken it to our annual maintenance day, and come home with an open bottle in my bag. Something I don't think I'll do any more, but put it in a zip lock bag.
