Anyone here in Florida have one of the elusive left fork sockets they'd care to sell or rent? A big brown smear down my forks tells me its time to go in and redo all the seals and such.

Thanks!

To get you through the Holidays you may want to try the 35mm film trick.
Cut a piece of 35mm film into a semi-hook shape. Slide the film into the seal away from the affected area and bring the film around to the leak area and lift it back through and out. Sometimes the film will lift out a piece of debris which is hanging the seal open.
Well worth a try and very simple to do .

This is easier to use.  And may cure your problem for months, or years.

The fork tool is not needed to change the seals, only needed to remove the springs.

Yeah, I may go with just the seals, but I have been curious since I bought this bike if the springs had been upgraded or no.

Just A Hint ! Take The Chrome Covers On The Front Forks That Are Bolted To The Fender, Off ! Clean The Rust Spots Off Of The Fork Tubes Behind These Chrome Covers With Fine Sandpaper Or Emory Cloth, This Will Remove The Rust Causing The Seals To Leak And Keep You From Ruining The New Seals And Doing The Job Twice.

#0000 steel wool not sandpaper or emory cloth.

best way for the film trick is having everything removed for complete access.
