Pulled the rear case off a 98 standard. Do to hydrolock. I've tried to search for the info on what size and search didn't help. But It's off now. Both gears had broken teeth. But found out you need all these. Also you don't need the tools that Honda recommends, on any of them.. on the lower nut , ( not sure what to call it ) It's the one holding the clutch basket in. It's a 32. ( just get all 12 points). The one behind it. After you pull the clutch basket. Which comes out in one assembly. Is the 12 point 46. then the one where the U-joint comes in is a 36. The manual says to drill out where it has been stated.  It's just a very thin edge of the nut that has been punched into 2 holes in the shaft. Not sure its necessary. Would thing it would push back out when you remove the nut. But did it any way. No big deal really.  So once we figured out the socket size, it was just a matter of taking my Millwalkee 18 volt fuel cordless drill. yes 1250 ft lbs of tork . And holding nothing and spin it off. waiting on parts.

Thanks for some updated info. You couldn't find the info? There is a lot out there.

Did you get deep sockets, from where and how much $ ?

Here is a link I had saved.

Since I found/needed these, the sockets are almost everywhere now. Seen them at my local Princess Auto (HF style).

I concur with Gordonv.
When I fixed my hydrolock about 4 years ago, those sockets were hard to find.
Now they seem to be everywhere.
Harbor freight has deep, high impact sockets. Both 6 sided and 12 point.
And Amazon has several options that are much cheaper, but lower quality.

Was looking locally and found them. Other then the 46mm 12 point I found at Sears online for 20 bucks. Checked HF and they only carry one of the 30 ones. the 30's only need to be 6. Waiting on parts to reassemble.
