I am going to put this out there:  Dismissing any religious reasons, is there any reason why this should be illegal?

The pro-gay marriage advocates use the "consenting adults" reasoning for demanding acceptance of same-sex marriage.  The story linked above is about two consenting adults who legally married, but one of them is now jailed under incest laws.
Morally, is this any different than same-sex marriage?  They are both over the age of 18, and it does no harm to society.  There won't be reproduction, so genetics isn't an issue.
Again, let's leave religion out of it.
For the record, I am greatly opposed to it, but am curious on peoples' thought processes pro and con.
My guess is this will become a Supreme Court issue within a few years.

No comment.  Other than..... Man, some people will marry anyone with a pulse.   ;D

I'm waiting for those who want to marry their pets.... or their vacuum cleaner.   :crazy2:

Freaky.

I brought home a beautiful handmade (and very heavy) Swiss leaded crystal waterfall chandelier from Turkey.

It's pretty grandiose in my slumdog old home dining room.

I like it.  I don't love it.   ;D

(it's esp fun to hit with weapons laser sights... like a disco ball)

(it's esp not fun to clean; which takes about a week, so I don't do it)

Just put it in the dishwasher.

I threw my dishwasher out.  And it's too big to fit in a dishwasher.

I'm just glad in 26 years, it hasn't pulled out of the ceiling.

It's got to go around 50-60 lbs.

The problem would be the power that a parent holds over a child, this power continues even into adulthood.

So, even though chronologically they are both adults, psychologically the parent still retains control over the child.

What I find interesting about this story is that the mother had lost custody of her children prior to this.

Also, it's just friggin SICK.  :crazy2:

Bovine,
I'm not going to comment on your question, but I will question how you happen to come upon articles like this?

I came across it on a trending area on facebook.  then I ran the names to find a link that was not a tabloid site.  So, found the local news.
And no, I don't go searching for this kind of freaky news.  I stick to tame freaky, like $cientology, and people who think they see bigfoot in their tea leaves and coffee grounds.

I have linked a number of well known and respected news sites I visit and read daily.

You don't have to go searching for the weird, bizarre, criminal, terrible, unbelievable, or ridiculous.

It's out there everywhere, every day.

When I recall those strange rangers who used to walk around with signs proclaiming the end is near, I used to think they were crazy.  Now, I'm not so sure.

I think that's a great idea.  As opposed to..... all freaks lead the news every day.

This is the natural evolution of morality, when we leave God out of our society. As society continues down this path, and it will without external intervention, this and worse will be normalized, and people won't even bat an eye at it. You, as a non-Christian, don't know why this repulses you. Your children or grandchildren won't be repulsed by it, but will rather applaud it or participate in it, and will be offended when you aren't rejoicing in their expression of their true selves.
