Oh look.....A Harley on a trailer.

Whoops....sorry....nothing unusual going on there either.

Couple days ago I was riding around running some errands and was going through a nearby residential area headed home. I saw a guy loading three HD's on a rather larger open trailer so just for kicks I stopped and asked where they were headed thinking maybe they were headed home; "Daytona man....Daytona."  I asked why the trailer, then added it's only 50 miles away. No answer so I just rode away. I don't know the full story re. the trailer, they might have been visiting from up north and had to trailer. I do know the guy that lives at that house uses a trailer all the time, most recently for a weekend to St. Augustine according to his wife....a trip of 100 miles one way. I see his wife fairly often...works at Publix.

Love humorous bike show / trailer stories ... several years ago I saw a comment with picture of a Harley on a trailer bound for Daytona, not unusual till you see the GW or Valk trike pulling it. I about fell out of my chair, can't find it anymore, does anyone recall where that post was ???
I would love to save that picture if someone recalls it or has a copy.

Why is everyone that doesn't own a Harley so fascinated with them. I own both a Valkyrie and a Harley and love them both.  I  passed a pickup on the way to Sturgis from North Dakota and guess what, it had a Valkyrie in the back.
So the big joke was it has a bat wing fairing and they all look alike.  Take a look around at InZane, all the Interstates look the same with the same crappy radio control on the left handlebar.  Ditto for the standards and Tourers, they all look alike.
As you can read in the tech forum there have been and are issues with the Valkyrie, ditto for Harley.
And please tell me what makes and Interstate with a removable trunk a Super Valk. Harley has had this option for years. Does that make an Interstate a Super Harley.
If you don't own a certain bike, don't worry about  what may or may not be wrong with it. Ride what you have and enjoy it be it a Honda, Yamaha, Harley, etc.

we used to say in Special Ops that we made fun of people in direct proportion to the amount it bothered them.  Don't let it bother you.....most of us are just kidding anyway when we say things like 80% of all Harleys ever made are still on the road and the other 20% actually made it home.  2funny crazy2 Evil

We also know that the Rice burner (and worse) comments made by HD riders are usually meant as fun ribbing too.  It doesn't bother me in the least  Wink crazy2

BTW all Valkyries are super...ones that have multiple personalities are even more super (I have a super Valkyrie) and hence the name.

Come on there has to be some goofing off on both sides. I talk to all brand groups at the local hang out, it is good knowledge and I might feel the quality of a HD is not on par with Metrics but I do have to admit I have a couple HDs that capture my attention.  Look at the link below and see (not the red bike but - the retro) guy in Switzerland took this newer bike bike and made it look late 30s into 40s. So here is one that does not look like any at my watering hole.  Excellent Job this guy did and article on how he did the mods, but for me, I’m just stuck in the metric world.

I did own one and will never buy another.  If someone were to give me one I would ride it.  My son just bought a used one, I tried to talk him into a valk, but being smaller in stature he prefers the size of the HD.  Ride what you like, who cares what people say/think?

Started out riding a Cushman, (neighbors). Had a Triumph, rode a Honda, had a Suzuki, then a Yamaha, then 2 Harleys, Now a Valkyrie. I love them all, but I think I enjoy the Valk more than all the rest I have owned or rode.  cooldude
