99 Interstate/2017 Goldwing

« on: March 27, 2018, 05:37:42 PM »

On a new 2017 Goldwing.

The 2018 Goldwing seems too much like an ST 1300 on steroids.

I'm still keeping my Interstate and it will be my main ride this year. I'll chip away at getting some accessories for the new wing.

congrats and hope you got HUGE discounts off as well.

IMO only though,  never understood paying 20K or more for a NEW cycle driven, for me anyways, for 6-7 months tops riding for one full year when so many used 2003 on ups in good shape are under 10K

Awesome bike, congrats!

People are calling the new Goldwing the 'ST1800'...

I agree, that's why I sold my 2017 Harley Road King Special that had $300 a month payments and bought a 14 Valkyrie for 7K cash.

I just don't ride enough (Maybe 2k a year) to justify a payment and full coverage insurance.

But its really what ever makes you happy.

Congrats to the poster on his 17 GW.

Good thing about getting the 2017 is that there is not too much to get used to between the two bikes.
I know there is a big difference in the ride and handling but the new electrics on the 2018 and the looks are just too much for this old guy.
When I got an F6B it just felt like my 99 tourer that had had a few drinks and was out partying.
