The other day I noticed that a couple of the hinge screws had come loose. So in order to put new screws in for the hinge I had to remove the rear speakers.
At that point I decided I was tired of my left rear speaker buzzing when ever I turned the volume up on some of my heavier bass songs.
Now I've heard horror stories on how difficult it is to find a direct match for IS rear speakers.
I went to a local automotive auto store with the old speakers, and replaced them with a pair of 4" kicker speakers. They were 4 ohm, and rated at 125W  as compared to the 60W that were there first. They were an exact match and fit like a glove.
There is quiet a difference in sound. No so much louder but better sounding.
They ran for $75 a pair

Not that it rains much in AZ, but are they waterproof? What brand and model speakers did you get?

Would these also work in the front fairing of the I/S? What size are those speakers? My radio sounds like crap...

Also, found these online for $40 ish for anyone else lookng to buy some.
