So, we did a couple nice things for my wife's eldest son.  He then bought us this BBQ.  Its called the Big Green Egg.  This is the Mini-Max version, its small but it holds a fair amount of meat.  You can cook Hot and fast like a normal BBQ or like we did today 250° for a few hours and never having to turn them.

Once the coals are lit we piled on some Black Angus ribs from the cow we bought this spring.  I use a secret recipe dry rub and it came out perfect.

All that's left to do is close the lid and walk away.  Come back in three hours and this what you have.

I know yer mouth is watering.  They were every bit as good as they look.  And they look better on the table.

Happy Easter

Used a Kamado (same thing as Green Egg) with 20 inch grill for 33 years. Excellent for low and slow cooking. Just retired it a couple years ago. Its now serving as a flower pot in the wifeunit's garden.

besides weekends, if we had the time being 2 hours to BBQ grill with charcoal M-F, this would be the one to get for sure.  Appears well made should last for years I think right?  In the meantime,  I will stick with 30 minutes tops of propane grilling since do not want to eat supper after 9 p.m. at night.

chomping at the bit to break out the patio furniture and gas grill but that will have to wait a few more weekends it appears as well.   Cry

With the windy cold conditions still,  even my gas grill takes longer than it should to keep heat at 350 degrees to get food cooked in a timely manner.

Winter BBQ tastes just as good.....round here, the grill NEVER gets put away, but I do have a smaller natural gas grill attached to the house that I use in the winter instead of the big propane grill or hot smoker.
