I have a 2003 Valkyrie Standard with a Cobra Light-bar and would like to mount a Memphis Fats - 19" Tall x 22" Wide x 9" Headlight Cut-out windshield but am concerned about interference with the passing light housings. Anyone have experience with this set-up..?

DarkSideR

I have both on my bike and there are no issues.

Thanks Darksider ! Are those Memphis lowers you have there?

DarkSideR

No, those are Rifles. And they did have to be notched to fit with the light bar.

I think you would be alright with the Memphis lowers. They stick out a little further than the rifles. They might shade your turn signals though.

Why didn't you use the adapters to properly mount the blinkers to the Cobra bars?

Darksider,
Nice looking set up, Can I ask what lights are you running in the Headlamp and light bar?
Are they easy to install?

Thank you. They spots are DayMaker LED's. I got them from Scootlights.com. I had to modify the lights wiring harness but otherwise they were easy to install.

The main headlight was also purchased from scootlights.com. It is the Aurora Half Halo. To install it you will need an adapter bracket. Lucky for you I am the guy who manufactures and sells the adapter brackets. Email me ValkyrieJosh@gmail.com with your shipping address for a quote.

Darksider, Do you need a bracket for the spot lights as well?

                 Kokomo Kevin

No. But I did have to modify the spots wiring harness. There wasn't much room in the Cobra's buckets. So I cut off the connector, and removed the thick rubber so that the 2 wires were left. I then soldered the positive and ground connections in the bucket, and finished with heat shrink. Lastly I used a small piece of foam behind the light to keep it pressed in place, whereas the clip used for the standard Halogen bulb won't work.

Thanks for the info! How much for the headlight bracket, if I decide to make the change?

Thanks, So looking at your setup and looking at Scootlights looks like $300  to get the same
setup you have. Let me think about it. I like the LED setup, I have them on my F6B and they
make a huge difference on seeing and being seen. Question have you done a tailight LED mod
by chance as well?

I should mention that it is a cost savings upgrade. The DayMakers will out last the life of over 14 halogen bulbs. Couple that with you being seen better and it kind of becomes a no brainer.
