How do I take the rear Tail light/brake light apart without tearing it up. I took the single screw out between the light and the "rubber thing" but it did not move. Suggestions ? I have short in the wires and I need to take apart the right section of the assembly.
thanks

Under the fender are 2 bolts. Remove them and raise the light housing away from the fender. All wires have bullet connectors.

Turn signals are removed the same way. After putting the housing on a bench, it comes apart from the back.

To remove the signal, you have to take this bolt off.

To access the bolt above, you have to remove the cover.

To remove the cover, you have to remove these bolts. Btw, don't put locktite on these bolts. The next time you take them
off they might strip out. The bolts thread into plastic posts. The posts have threaded brass inserts, but if the bolts get
locktited in the brass inserts, the brass inserts will rotate and ream the plastic posts. Doesn't take much, so maybe using
anti seize is a good idea, dunno, but sure beats JB weld.
