Not Lookin Good for Cheaha

Blood test today was mostly excellent!  Even the out of control white cells were in the normal range.  Outstanding news. However, the platelets are again dangerously low. It was 6. Dr said it was typical and should start coming up.  So I happily went on my way and got some work done. Just got out of the shower where I discovered tons of pitickei (leaky blood vessels).

So, the wise thing to do is to go back to the hospital tomorrow.  Can’t go on a road trip like this. I’m not too bummed because this is all expected with my condition but I was hoping for a different story this week. 

Having blood this thin robs you of a normal life. I’m not used to this so pray I don’t go nuts.  And I start making some dang platelets soon!

Small wins Chris, I hope it keeps heading in the right direction.

 That sucks. With my kidney disease my platlet's and hemoglobin are up and down most of the time. Not to the extent of yours though. Keep up the fight. I hope to see you in Roanoke.....

It seems to me your reports are trending towards the positive. NV said 'small wins'... and I agree. Incrementally those may seem microscopically small, and setbacks are always viewed with alarm, but... Keep, the faith, my friend... this hand ain't over! We're all pulling for ya!!!

Thanks Bruce.  And all of you. Yes trending towards the positive is how I view it. I'm just not used to trending at the current pace. Was given a platelets transfusion yesterday, and eagerly awaiting my body to decide to start making it's own. Everything else is normal, when the day comes (hopefully before the middle of June) that I m making a safe level of platelets, I'll let ya'all know I'm headed to INZANE. That's the plan!

Oh Man!!   I'm glad over all things are better than they could be,  but I pray they continue to improve.

Thanks for that response! You're fighting the good fight, and I salute your for it... Besides, if memory serves, QD still owes me a hug... or, maybe I owe her one... In any event, you do need to bring her to Roanoke so we can square-up! I'll be looking for y'all...
