select between sport and standard modes. sport tries to pull your arms off when you floor it, standard will slowly accelerate until you get to full speed when you floor it. he had it at 54mph with 2000rpms to go.  Shocked

That looks like a blast!  But I'd rather be able to sit:

That looks like a lot of fun.

And it doesn't look like there's a lot of texters out there to put up with either.

At water temp around 40*, I give texters about 30 minutes in the drink after a bonehead move and then if they have not found warm surroundings, a Darwin Award.

that is flying on a stand up jet ski.  How are the knees and forearms/hands after that ride.  Seems to be looking like fun, but also a workout as well at the same time having to stand up and steer, etc.

those can am/sea doo rotax engines in that 800-1000cc range are pretty impressive for speed/acceleration.  I know my can am 800cc v-twin motor on my outlander atv is plenty quick enough for me top speed 74 mph and pretty torquey as well.  I would imagine the new 1000cc is a beast doing 80 mph or more now that is insane on an atv tires designed for No road use with 5-6lbs. of pressure in the tires.  I remember not so long ago that 500cc motor was a monster, not anymore that is just average but in reality is all you ever need, just not for top speed is all.

"How are the knees and forearms/hands after that ride."

he said that he felt like he rowed a boat upstream for hours. he'll look like a weight lifter by the end of summer. he has 4hrs on it now after 2 days and only used 4gal of fuel. the original motor would have used 10 gal by now.

One of my buddies has the 1000 cc outlander and had it bored  to 1180. that thig is ridiculous. I have always wanted to ride a stand up jet ski but i'm kinda gun shy because my older brother knocked out 6 teeth and bit his bottom lip in half riding one years ago. Apparently hit a wave in the shallows and landed on a tree stump sticking out of the water.

When I was still in Texas the guy at the M/C shop I knew invited me and the Family out for a cook out and bein as he had lake front property and a jet ski-BUT I were a LOT younger then!  Roll Eyes I believe the one he had at the time was a Kawasaki and as I found out after he told me when you unload they idle in a turn near/around you but you do NOT wanna git smacked in the head by it.  uglystupid2 And thinkin it would do near 30 M P H flat out. RIDE SAFE.

he said that the button he was pushing toggles thru different gauges as well, MPH, RPM, fuel level, engine temp, etc. as well as sport and standard mode.
