Looks kinda nice. Although being from Dallas I wonder if it got dunked last summer. Of coarse the scratches and minor dents would most likely have been the reason it’s at crashed toys.

Better snatch that up.  It's a 2000 Valkyrie with automatic transmission.  Between you and me, though, that seat wear is not indicative of 20,000 miles.

The VIN history shows it was living in NEDERLAND, TX   right before it switched to a salvage - flood status...

Nederland, TXD is right on the coastal area, southeast of Beaumont.

In other words, not only water damage, but a very high chance that water that damaged it was salt water.

I was thinking the parts would be of value. Bags, show chrome light bar, windscreen hardware, wheels, rear pumpkin, tank. $500 might take it.

Since it looks fairly clean then if I could get it for a low enough price, I'd be tempted to keep it and replace the wiring harness. You would have to check the operation of some components....relays, ICM, handlebar controls, etc.  The electrical aspect of it would seem to be the main concern.

I think you just have to register with them. I have never bid on any though. I started looking a few years back, and remember it to be a registering thing.

That company, copart, has a yard about 10 miles north of my house.  They came in and bought a old junk yard, basically for the grandfathered permits,  removed the junk and brought in 100's of vehicles.

They must be making big money, they already out grew the original lot and bought the one next to them.

That’s strange. I could have swore there was a bid at $1550 yesterday. Either way, it’s probably more than I would go.
