Anyone know the going price for a new Valkyrie?   I was in Katy Texas Wild West Honda Dealer today.  I used to take them all my business, oil changes, tires, etc. with my 2001 Valkyrie until my Valkyrie reached 10 yrs old and then they wouldn't work on it anymore so I moved my business to Honda of Houston where they will work on it.    Wild West Honda is really a great Honda Dealer.....great stock.....accessories.....just great people, they just don't work on 10 yrs or older motorcycles.   Anyways, the wifey and I were in the area this morning and we stopped in to see their recent remodel and I was talking with one of the sales men who was trying to get me to buy a new Valkyrie.  Said he has some new ones coming in that should be selling for right at $10,000.     Sounds really cheap to me.    I thought they were higher priced than that.

They were higher than that, and they couldn't sell them. I have seen them $9999.
That's a whole bunch of motorcycle for under 10 grand.

agree,  10K for a new goldwing engine in a faster bike is a good price.

just hate to part with the looks of the 97 thru 2003 ones though, although fuel injection and NEWER parts not needing replacing/wearing out as soon would be nice right about now.  97 honda magna has a gas leak and 98 Valk antifreeze leak first fireup of season this week, both can be cured though soon hoping.  Will see if my 2001 Valk I/S has issues this weekend as well.....  If so,  there is always my 249cc scooter..... Another nice thing about them is no cam belt to change.

There is one on ebay that is a 2014 brand new with 0 miles for $9;498.     Is the seat replaceable with one that is more comfortable for the passenger?

I sent my rider's seat to Russell Daylong... they'll do up the passenger seat too. Corbin has a one-piece
seat that is good.

While I understand the business policy somewhat, I don't understand the reasoning behind this.

Why would you buy a new motorcycle from a company that will drop you like a bad habit after 10 years?

How many Honda's on the road are over 10 years old?

I'm thinking millions?

The new Valkyrie is a beautiful bike with great technology, but it doesn't carry the "soul" of the first gen.  How many of us have walked out of the store, restaurant, pub to see people standing around their 1st gen pointing at stuff?

Plus, if you want a vehicle you can work on, because they're pretty much not available, the 1st gen Valk is perfect.

But, at the price a new Valk is available, it's a steal.

If you're thinking of getting one, now is probably the time.

But don't buy a 2015 from Wild West, cause they'll only service it for 5-6 more years. uglystupid2 uglystupid2

When I test road the new Valk back in 2014 that 1832 motor and throttle responce was to much to pass up. So I was sad to let go of my 1998 Std. but sold it to a friend who we still ride with, he rides it now for our road trips but kept his Harley road king too! Now he is talking of maybe putting in on the sell list and may get, or is looking for a Rune!  I paid the $13, 500 price, but got the extended warranty and $1, 000 of accessories, windshield leather bags and back rest and hwy pegs FREE. Not sorry at all, love the bike, and even though they didn't sell that many it will just make it worth more years down the road, when more riders discover just how great this bike really is. And for those other days I still have my 1975 original GL1000 that is now becoming a collectors bike. I have been offered $5, 000 for it but will never sell. On those cold winter days when I can't ride it's great to go into the garage and see the GL and the Valk side by side just waiting for that next warm spring days to come!    Summer is almost here, ready to get out on the road again.

Here's a new 2015 for $8999

https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2015-Honda-VALKYRIE-121304710

At that price I'm tempted to buy it myself.

But, I'd have to sell two of my Interstates first and I'm not ready to do that.

That is an excellent price. Looks like they’re hoping you finance at 10% interest to make their money!

You are right that they wouldn't service a 2014 but a few more yrs      If I was to buy one I would buy at my new dealership .    just couldn't buy one at a dealership that won't service what they sell.    The wife and I were just in the area and dropped in

As of ten days ago, Owen Powersports (Honda/Indian) in Charleston, IL still had five '14s & '15s left, 0 miles, all colors.  Take your pick: $9,900.  Exact same price I bought my '14 in December of 2016.  As stated above, a LOT of bike for the money.  Wish I was in a position to buy a couple on spec.  It will be interesting over time to look at the value/selling prices graph curve on the new Valks and when, if ever, it might start edging up the other way.  It's really nice, though, not caring one whit about it.  It's only of real interest to those interested in selling, and that's not me.  I do feel badly, however, for anyone who paid anywhere near sticker MSRP for theirs when they first came out.

Hmm.  Your wings look like they stick up much more than mine.  Also canted back more with a bigger hump in front cramping the boyz.  Of course they are custom made to fit.  Gotta admit, getting older the boyz seem to be more "hangy down".  How would Russell know that I didn't provide that detail or my age. Maybe they deduced from the pics.  Would you say you have a tight ass?  Or I just have a big ass.  Maybe both...

It's a funny little stinkbug of a seat... maybe it just looks that way...
I'm glad it works like it is supposed to...

Really like the 2015 Red New Valkyrie on eBay with out the door price of $9500. Has anyone found any good tires for these bikes?  Last time I looked seemed to be limited selection with most getting a lot less than 10,000 miles. Any good car tires?

I think you will find this is the case with many Honda dealers. When my buddy was having some work done at my dealer on his 98 Tourer the service manager told me that they really don't work on the old Valkyries any more and made an exception for my buddy since he is a friend of mine and they know the bike. He said 15-20 years is the cutoff for them due to parts availability issues and the bikes not having enough residual value to put alot of money in repairs into them.

A local guy got one brand new for 8k plus TTL up in North West PA.  They can be had and dealers that have them might be willing to negotiate.

I have an Avon Cobra 120 (vice 130) on my front and 4k miles shows no to little wear.   I also have a CT on the rear that I got from Amazon for 60 bucks.  Looks and rides great.

I still have my 99 Super Valk IS with a Taxi Tire and love that one as well.....it's my show bike and the 14 Valk is my Go Bike.....but it looks good too and have Corbin Bags and some other goodies.
