Never had one thank goodness but know those who have.  Is it true that if you are prone to those things and you want to help prevent them you can drink pickle juice or vinegar?

250-500mg magnesium supplement daily and you may never have one.  And of all supplements, the magnesium doesn't leave you burping up nasty flavors all day (with food, you would never know you took them).  Also, keep your daily water intake up, which is good for everything.

And if you are having recurrent kidney stones, lay off any muti vitamins with calcium in them (and that's ALL of them).

Sorry for your trouble Paul.  Pound water and piss like a racehorse.

Another one bites the dust. Not as painful as the first I had in June of last year. BUT still strong enough to make me grunt some bad words very loudly. I think i may have scared a few children  Evil

Apart from the occasional beer all I drink is water and have done since I was a child.  Angry

I'll get some magnesium.

I've already started drinking olive oil (should get a nice glossy coat) lime juice, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar in orange juice - otherwise it makes me gag.

You just need to sit back, relax, and indulge on a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

It's a cure all!

Flomax opens the pipes a bit, much water and a few beers help to flush it out and loosen you up a bit.

Good luck.    I've been doing good since 2 years ago when I passed 4 in 8 days.....no a good week.

Drink a gallon of water and then a cold beer.....should help push it thru...

I've had 8 of the damn things. 3 they went and fetched and this last one a few months ago they blasted. None of it is any good. A ton of water and urinate at least 6 times a day. Most stones appear in the spring according to my urologist. For those that have never had the pleasure, great. For those of us that are prone to them all we can do is try to avoid them by keeping our systems flushed out.

Major cause can be lack of water / exercise and flushing the system every day.  In my case it's induced by a disease called Sarcoidosis.  Tends to produce calcium, lucky me. I go thru a 32 pack of water a week if that tells you anything. So drink, it's good for you! Accordingto my urologist, lemon aid helps remove crystals from the kidneys si i drink it once a day. All the voodoo solutions or concoctions DON'T work to try and remove one after one is in the works. If it wont pass on its own the next step is the doctor. Prevention is the ticket.
