I have not ridden my Valkyrie since July after coming home from the Montana Inzane. My knees were bad then and limited my riding in Montana. But after coming home and turning my right knee and popping it I was unable to ride without much pain. I did try a couple of times but just couldn't. When I had both knees replaced in Sept that put the kibosh on any riding for the foreseeable future. When I was finally able, I got some work done on the Valk including carb overhauls and rear brakes. I finally got everything done and back together yesterday.  I had to go to Huntington IN yesterday afternoon to get a part from the owner of a valk I am working on.  I thought it would be a great day to ride. Earlier in the day it was sunny but now it was clouding up. Oh well off I go. The 40 min ride to Huntington was uneventful that is until I got to Roanoke. Then it started raining. Oh well. Got to Huntington, got the part and chated with Steve a bit then headed home. Rained all the way home.

Needless to say I was a little wet by the time I got home. But you know what? It felt good to get back on the Valk again. The "new" knees did great. They were a little stiff when I got off the bike but no problems. I need to get some more miles in before Inzane to make sure my knees work OK but looking forward to it.

On a humorous note. When I got home and changed out of my wet clothes I checked my phone. On it was a text from Fudgie. It said "gonna get wet, lol" I texted back "how did you know" he said he saw me on hwy 24. Fudgie lives in Huntington. That's what I get for having a very uniquely colored Valkyrie....lol.

You beat me by a few days, I managed a bit over 100 miles today. The right knee was replaced on Feb 27 and it is still a bit uncomfortable  on the peg. Thank you for highway pegs. The bend is at the edge of the range of motion for the knee but that nasty storage gas had to go. Of course, the late snow storms around here have been more of a deterrent than the knee.  Angry
