I went up to Hayden Honda in Kendallville, North of Fort Wayne this afternoon. I was talking to the owner Curt Haden. I said I noticed they still had their Valkyrie neon sign. Told me he was trying  to sell it on their sight for $425.00. Told me he would take $300.00 for it. Still works good. I already have one in my garage so I told him I would tell you guys. So if anyone is interested call Curt Hayden at Hayden Honda Powerhouse. Number is 260-347-0060. Tell him Mark Doenges sent you.....

I'm thinking the "Staff" should get it and then raffle it off at Inzane.   I'd think it would be a money maker for some charity.

One day I'll be wanting one but, as usual, I have a long list of much higher financial priorities.

If enough people think it’s a good idea for a raffle at Inzane, I would put $20.00 in a pot to purchase it from the dealer. I’ve got way more than $20.00 worth of good from my association with this group.

The problem with those neon signs, especially the older ones are that they are unbelievably fragile. They really have to be professionally packaged to ship and even then there is a better than average chance it will end up broken. If I could simply drive to the dealer, lay it gently in my back seat and drive home I would consider it but if it needs to be shipped and packed its a real gamble if it will make it in working condition. (This statement is being made with personal experience.)

Yeah they are fragile. I got mine off of ebay. It made it with out any breakage.  If the dealer has the original crate that would make it better to ship. If you were interested Dave, Kendallville is about 70 miles from you.....

If we wanted to make it an inzane raffle item, could arrangements be made with the dealer, to buy it, with shipping and insurance paid' and have dealer ship it to the raffle winner?  That would reduce the chance of breakage getting to inzane, and winner getting it home.  Just a thought.

I think that’s a great plan.  I like it so much that I promise to buy some raffle tickets if that sign is available  cooldude

Great idea, also perhaps the Adm. can make one of the 50-50 to cover any shortage due maybe to not enough room nights sold.

With the rally in a place accessible to so many members the small turnout thus far is unexpected, at least by me.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't something in the works as we discuss it.

So if you win it at Inzane, you just strap it to the back of your bike and ride it home?   crazy2

No, it never goes to IZ, Raffle off a picture, Dealer ships the sign to winners home.

I am not involved any longer but based on prior experience planning InZanes for many years my guess is that the Grand Prize has already been decided months ago.

Due to the fragility of the sign that is really the only thing that makes sense. But I would also question how many people would really put up money on something they couldn't see in person. I am sure at some point the staff will comment.

Probably true.

All I'll say is, I'd buy raffle tickets for this neon sign.   I haven't done that before.

There were at least 2 versions of the neon sign as I remember Chrome has one and I am sure I have seen another one just can't recall where

maybe unauthorized copyright infringement?
