in Britain. If the government told me I had to let my child die by withholding treatment and life support and refused to allow me to to remove child from the hospital to go where there is treatment available there would be serious repercussions.
I’m amazed that a “free” country would allow Alfie to die when there are other options that don’t require their health care system to fund.

Government run Healthcare at its finest. This "could" have happened here if Obama,Sanders or the rest of the dems had had their way. So who's responsibility is it to determine if someone's life is "worth" spending the time and money to save?
Ask yourself a question. If this was Kate's new baby instead of a pesant child would they still deny the care to save his life?

Here's a pic of the police lined up making sure the parent can't take their child out of the hospital and on to the waiting airplane that's already lined up to take him to Italy, which has agreed to cover all costs for the transport and treatment. It's almost as if they're terrified the treatment in Italy might work, making their communist healthcare system look bad or something...  |

This is exactly what you get with government ran healthcare. They get to pick and choose who lives and dies. If this were my kid i guarantee someone would be paying for their choice. You take my child away from me i will take you away from yours.

I agree. They ignored the Pope, maybe it’s time for the Queen to step in. I don’t know how much power she wields but I’m sure she could stir up a real s#!t storm if she was so inclined. |

On the bright side, the next time some statist asks why I NEED an AR-15, at least maybe I have an answer they could understand.
...because one day the government may tell me I'm not allowed to put my sick son on an aircraft and fly him to Italy for treatment.
Believe me when I tell you I WILL be putting him on that aircraft.

Sad day for sure. How helpless and hopeless the last week of life for the family had to be. Maybe it was inevitable but not the way to treat a human being.
